Tangerang, May 13, 2025 — Zahra, one of the students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang (UMT), is set to participate in the Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) International Program in Thailand, which will take place from June 1 to September 30, 2025.
As part of this program, Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang will send three students who will be placed in several schools. Zahra will be teaching at a remote school in Thailand that offers education at the elementary (SD) and junior high school (SMP) levels. In addition to the community service activities, all participants are also required to write and publish a scientific journal indexed in SINTA 2 in September as part of the academic outcomes.
"My preparations are already 90 percent done, I just need to book the plane ticket. The reason I joined is because I want to try a new experience and get to know a different environment,” said Zahra during an interview.
Zahra hopes this program will run smoothly, both in terms of field activities and the process of writing and publishing the journal. She is also optimistic that this experience will broaden her horizons and provide a tangible contribution to the local community at the placement site.
