Project Truck Blocks the Road!

Teluknaga, May 13, 2025 – Residents of Teluknaga expressed frustration over a traffic jam caused by ongoing road repair work on Tuesday night (May 13). A project truck carrying stones from an excavator was seen blocking the main road, making it impossible for other vehicles—motorcycles, cars, and trucks—to pass.

Ironically, the other lane remained empty and could have been used for the project activities without disrupting the traffic flow.

One resident caught in the traffic jam, identified as M, voiced his annoyance.

"Come on, the other lane is wide open. Why isn’t the truck using that side instead? Now it’s blocking everything and we can’t get through," he grumbled.

The project is a continuation of previous road repairs in the Bojong area. It has now moved to Teluknaga–Saelan, although there’s no official information yet on how many kilometers of road are being repaired.

Residents are calling for better traffic management from the project coordinators, especially at night and during rainy conditions like these. The slippery roads and crowded lanes have worsened the traffic situation. Many drivers were forced to stop for long periods as the main access road was blocked by the project truck—even though an empty lane was available.
