Tangerang — Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early weather warning for several areas in Banten Province on Monday, December 29, 2025.
The warning, released at 11:15 a.m. WIB, highlights the potential for moderate to heavy rainfall, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds starting at around 11:45 a.m. WIB. BMKG stated that the weather conditions are expected to persist until approximately 2:30 p.m. WIB.
Areas initially affected include parts of Pandeglang Regency, Lebak Regency, Serang Regency, Cilegon City, and Serang City. BMKG also noted that the heavy rainfall could expand to other districts across the province.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain alert to possible impacts such as local flooding, fallen trees, reduced visibility, and disruptions to daily activities due to strong winds and lightning. BMKG urged the public to monitor the latest weather updates through its official communication channels.
