Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency – A new fishing pond is currently under construction in Rawa Gempol Village, Babusalam, Teluknaga. Located right in front of a local resident’s house, this project has caught the attention of many neighbors since the day it started.
From direct observation, the area is estimated to cover around one hectare. While the exact size of the pond is still unknown, the space looks large enough to accommodate many visitors once it’s completed. The site is surrounded by bamboo fences, with paving blocks stacked nearby, suggesting further development is in progress.
According to nearby residents, the idea to build this fishing pond came from the owner, who happens to be the writer’s neighbor. The main purpose? To provide a fun place for the dads in the neighborhood and to support his child’s love for fishing.
“His kid really enjoys fishing, so he decided to build a pond, not just for his son, but so everyone could enjoy it too,” said one of the locals, who preferred not to be named.
As of this writing, the owner and his assistant have not yet been interviewed directly. However, based on daily activity at the location, construction seems to be progressing smoothly and steadily.
Once completed, this family-made fishing pond has the potential to become a new recreational spot in the Teluknaga area offering not only entertainment but also an opportunity for the local economy to grow.
